Melody

I had planed to upload this piece not realising it was the 200 year anniversary of Lefébure-Wely and knowing nothing about it. I found it in The Organist's Treasury, a collection of French music. The registration is Melodia 8' against soft stops and Vox Humana and trem for the last section. Then listening to Aarnoud's Meditaciones Religiosas upload I realised it is the Recit de hautbois movement from that work. I don't know if the changes were by the collection's editor I. V. Flagler or if it was an alternative treatment by Lefébure-Wely.
