Choral und Herzlich tut mich verlangen Op. 122, No. 10

This heart-wrenching and poignant setting shows the great Brahms as he contemplates the end of his life. The longing that the music expresses is beyond words or comprehension.

This performance features the Pedal Bombarde 8' and Prinzipal 8', played against the accompaniment, played upon the Rohrflöte 8' and Salicional 8' of the Hauptwerk.

Recently, I've been given the opportunity to make some "demos" and to do a review of the fine new sample set of the Steinmayer organ at St. Magnus in Marktoberdorf.

While the organ is modest in size, it does possess variety and color, and can play a pretty wide spectrum of the literature.
