Description:
Five of the pieces in the Neumeister manuscript are without a named composer. Some scholars attribute these five pieces to Johann Michael Bach. To prelude to "Christ lag in Todesbanden" is one of those five anonymous pieces. It could well be written by Johann Michael Bach. Though since there is no way to know for certain, I designate it as 'anonymous' in the score.
