Virgo Dei Genitrix, Op. 45, No. 2

The second of Marcel Dupré's eight short Preludes on Gregorian Themes. This, along with the final piece of the set, is probably the most technically demanding of these pieces. While mostly written in two parts, in the final page the texture changes to four parts during which we briefly hear the theme in canon between the soprano and the bass.
