Kauffmann's first prelude to "Allein zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ" is a small treasure of contrapuntal writing. It has the chorale melody in the bass voice, while the other three voices accompany the chorale melody with the first phrase of the melody in imitation and in inversion. As short as it is, there is a lot going on in those 17 bars.

In the last few days I've implemented a new feature on my website: search by Genre. A new menu option "Genres" leads to a page where you can select 'Triosonate' or 'Chorale prelude' or 'Fuga' or ... The next page than shows all pieces I've published in the selected genre. Furthermore, each publication shows the genre in which it is categorised at the bottom of the piece. If you click on it, you get a page with all the pieces in the same genre.
In this way you can quickly access for example all preludes to "Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr", or all triosonatas, etc.
Until now I've categorized about half of the pieces available on my site. With over 500 pieces it is a time consuming process. I expect to finish it in the next few days, and than you'll have complete overviews.
Hopefully this added feature will be usefull to you.
