Influenced by the early works of Jean Langlais, this fifth movement beautifully expresses the text of the chant on which is it based: "Turn then, O Gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us, and after this, our exile."

This movement showcases the advantages of enclosing a Positif division, if only to get the solo stops, like the Cromorne, under expression.
