Genre: | Romantic |
Description: | A composition about (the Genevian melody of) psalm 2. The style is a bit French-romantic.
At the start it handles about the first verses: ‘Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?’
1. Toccatine
2. Choral ( 0:52)
From the third part there is a character change. From there on to the end it’s about the last verse of the psalm: ‘Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.’ (In the versed version it’s half a couplet)
3. Aria ( 2:40)
4. Choral (6.15)
5. Andantino (7.40)
6. Choral ( 10:02)
I’m not a professional. Professionals will hear :-)
