Composer: Buttstedt, Johann Heinrich (1666 - 1727)
Sample Producer: Milan Digital Audio
Sample Set: St. Anne's Moseley
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Baroque
Description:
A second MIDI file transferred from my partially functional main console to my laptop, and to the St Anne's Moseley sample set.

Again, thinking of how a parish organist would adapt the sounds of a 20th century/romantic church organ to earlier music, here's a unison principal sound for a short work in fugal style.

I avoided the Great unison diapasons altogether. Even the Small was too big. Instead I've used the swell Geigen Principal 8, with some extra body added by the unison stopped flute.

The composer - Johann Heinrich Buttstedt (1666 - 1727) - was Pachelbel's most important student, and in turn Buttstedt's best pupil was J G Walther.
