Recorded on the beautiful Waldkirchen set from http://www.forestpipes.de

Hans Boelee was born in Leiden (The Netherlands) in 1927. The famous organist Feike Asma was his teacher for many years and he aspired to go to a conservatory, but he had to serve his country as a soldier in Indonesia. When he came back to The Netherlands he continued his lessons with Asma. Boelee was appointed as organist in Driebergen and he conducted many choirs. He wrote quite some pieces for mixed choir, of which his "Marcus Passie" is a much loved work in The Netherlands.
Hans Boelee died in 2002 in Driebergen.
