Description: | The composer writes in his Preface:
[...] The themes given in sequential order are "For Elise", (very briefly) the Romance in F for Violin and Orchestra, the slow movement from the Piano Sonata Pathetique, the choir hymn "The Heavens Praise" Op. 48/4, the beginning of the Fifth Symphony, the famous motif from the Ninth Symphony (Joyful, joyful...), and also a passage from the last movement of the Fourth Symphony. This passage, absolutely ideal for the organ, suggests that Charles Marie Widor may have 'consulted' Beethoven for his famous Toccata from the Fifth Organ Symphony. [...]
The piece was composed in 2008.
The score is available from
Butz-Verlag, Sankt Augustin, No. 2150
