Description: | This is my rendition of Andreas Willscher's (unpublished) toccata. This piece is absolutely exhilarating on a large instrument like the Rosales.
It is a fun "dance" (tanz) where the melody is in the pedals and due to the alternating time signatures, it has a 'groovy' feel to it. I played it as my postlude today and multiple people told me they just wanted to dance. One parishioner even mentioned that there were kids in the front of church whose shoulders started to wiggle as soon as I started playing!
This is, in effect, a "duplicate" recording in that the venerable Carson Cooman has recorded the same piece on the same organ, however, I still wanted to post my version as well. (Carson's version is indeed a preview track on SP's website, which is how I discovered the piece.)
