This is the third of the unedited anonymus choral preludes from manuscript KN 209, owned owned by the Ratsbücherei in Lüneburg I have the privilige to publish. I is a relatively straightforward manualiter composition. No intricate motivic play in accompanying voices, or a cleverly embelished choral melody as solo voice. The composition follows the phrase structure of the choral melody, including the stops you'd make while singing the choral in church, to let the congregation breathe. Yet the composition shimes in all it's rhapsodic exuberance. It feels more like a celebtration of live, than a plea to the Holy Spirit.
