Software: | Hauptwerk IV |
Genre: | Baroque |
Description: | Gaël Liardon was born 1973 and studied music in Lausanne and Geneva. He was active as an organist in Lausanne from 1995 until his early death in 2018. For an impressive overview on his many activities see http://www.domisolmifa.net.
He published numerous chorale preludes in traditional styles of the 17th and 18th centuries. He showed that this language is not old-fashioned at all, but still can tell us something new, independent, and “of one’s own”. Much of his music is available on imslp.org.
This trio is a true masterpiece in the tradition of Bach's Schübler preludes. |
