The Carillon is notated a minor third lower here in order to be able to use the range of the register Chimes in the high octave. Here you can listen the original Gardone-Carillon:
The village Gardone Riviera at Lake Garda does not only have this charming Carillon. Contrary to the places on the eastern side, the western side of the Lake Garda is not so heavily visited by (german) tourists. The German composer Ludwig Neuhoff spent his retirement in Gardone - he wrote two wonderful Sonatas for Organ in Liszt style. Franz Liszt also visited his niece Daniela von Bülow, born Wagner, in the villa of her husband Henry Thodt (Vittoriale d´ Annunzio). The Steinway Grand Piano from the former property of Franz Liszt is also in the Vittoriale today. The Silesian composer Paul Königer wrote his "Gardone-Lieder" in Gardone, too.
Three holiday pictures from Gardone attached and the Score, too.
