Allemande (pour clavecin)

This lovely allemande by the Flemish composer Josse Boutmy (1697 - 1779) is from Suite Nr. 1 of his Troisième livre de pièces de clavecin. The style here reflects clear French influence.

I have grown rather accustomed to playing this piece on real harpsichords that have a light and sensitive touch, and so--in all honesty--it was fairly challenging to capture appropriately delicate phrasing and ornamentation while playing this on a somewhat springy Classic Midi keyboard. I haven't yet decided whether I am content with the result, but I have nonetheless uploaded this to let others judge whether this was a fruitful endeavor.
