This is one of the winner-compositions of a composition competition in 2018, the jubilee-year of "Silent Night", which was composed 200 years ago.
The three winner-compositions are published in a new edition by Butz-Verlag, Bonn (BU 2936).
The book includes a Sonata by Johann Simon Kreuzpointner, a Christmas-Tryptichon by Luigi Mengoni and this composition by Andreas Willscher.
OK, it's a bit early for Silent Night in the week before the 1st Advent, but perhaps some of you like this new composition and so there is enough time to purchase the score and study it until Christmas.
I prepare this for Christmas and some different concerts.

The fine sounds of the Riepp-Organ in Ottobeuron refine this music in a wonderful way.
BTW: At the end of Var. 6 I borrowed the Zimbelstern from the Steinkirchen-Schnitger-Organ to the Riepp :-)
