Description:	Manfred Schlenker was born in 1926. He studied church music in Halle/Saale. In 1956, he became Director of Music at Stendal Cathedral and in 1974 at Greifswald Cathedral. From 1975 to 1988, he headed also the School of Church Music in Greifswald. Since his retirement in 1988, he has been working as a freelance musician.
