Description: | This is a repost of my rendition of Avelino Valenti's "Wedding March". There has been a fair amount of discussion among people on the HW forum wanting to compare the sound of V4 to V5. This is not intended as a scientific comparison, this is just to demonstrate what a beautiful difference the new reverb feature can make if you own drier sample sets.
I posted 1/30/19 using HW 4.2.1 ( http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/33040) and here I repost with HW5 with some built-in reverb added for comparison. This time I used Church05-Omni-12m-WideLR-5.7s dialed back to 60%. The difference is rather remarkable IMHO and it's fun to compare the two files.
When I recorded it last January I also recorded the MIDI which I used to drive HW5 to record the new file, so the performance is identical. As noted at that time:
"Please note I have made some editorial embellishments during this recording to my personal preference however my engraving of the score is true to source."
I'm also reattaching the score as well as the MIDI file for those who may benefit from them. |
