Orgelbüchlein 8 - Vom Himmel hoch da komm ich her (BWV 606)

Bach's Orgelbüchlein is truly a treasure chest of small compositions connected to the annual Lutheran liturgical calendar. The current chorale, 'Vom Himmel hoch da komm ich her' (BWV 606) is part of the Orgelbüchlein's beginning cycle - the series of Advent and Christmas compositions BWV 599-512.

I'm using the 1742 Gottfried Silbermann organ in the Stadtkirche, Zöblitz (Saxony, Germany) - one of the well-preserved jewels of Germany's Silbermann family organ collection.
