Rune Lindsten (1932–2020) — Bön (Prayer) (1993) for organ
Swedish composer Rune Lindsten (1932–2020) was born in Säter (Delcarlia) and worked for many years as a math and science teacher in his hometown. He also held posts as assistant organist for churches throughout the region and toured as a pianist and organ recitalist in Sweden, the USA, and Canada. As a composer, Lindsten published numerous works for organ. His musical style is broadly “late romantic”—blending seamlessly elements from the Oskar Lindberg “school” of Swedish romanticism with influences from the later 20th century.
