These most fascinating pieces of Jehan Alain have been composed until 1940, originally as an orchestral work. It's been lost during the turmoil of war. Fortunately Alain sent the organ version from his military service to Noelie Perront, an organist which had played pieces of Bach and Alain on the radio. The Trois Danses often are considered als Alain's masterpiece.
