Licinio Goffredo Clinio Elpidio Refice was a priest an Italian composer, among the greatest reformers (with Lorenzo Perosi and Raffaele Casimiri) of sacred music within the movement aroused by Pope Pius X.

Toscanini, at the end of listening to an opera by he wrote, he said to Refice: "You would be the greatest opera composer of our time if it were not for that cassock" :-)))
