Description: | Hymns to Help Us Through - Day 21 - “All Glory, Laud, and Honor”...
Good Sunday morning, friends (a wee bit early)!! Today is Palm Sunday, and as I sat down at the console of the organ at Bethany House, my heart just wanted to sing out to King Jesus! He is worthy of all praise and glory - and I hope that you can feel my heart's cry in my arrangement of this traditional Palm Sunday hymn!
(By the way, you'll definitely want to use headphones - the sound of this pipe organ is amazing!! The words for today's hymn are below, in case you want to sing along!) :)
“All Glory, Laud, and Honor”
Tune: St. Theodulph
All glory, laud, and honor to thee, Redeemer, King,
to whom the lips of children made sweet hosannas ring.
Thou art the King of Israel, thou David’s royal Son,
who in the Lord’s Name comest, the King and blessed One.
(A Fanfare...)
The company of angels are praising thee on high,
and mortal men and all things created make reply.
The people of the Hebrews with palms before thee went;
our praise and prayer and anthems before thee we present.
(A Fanfare...)
To thee, before thy Passion, they sang their hymns of praise;
to thee, now high exalted, our melody we raise.
Thou didst accept their praises; accept the prayers we bring,
who in all good delightest, thou good and gracious King.
(A Fanfare...)
Amen. Amen. Amen.
Blessings, my friends! :)
