Jesus is Nailed to the Cross

My vision of this piece is one of slow, ponderous violence at the hands of a jaded Roman executioner. As such I think it should be played slowly, slower than I typically hear it played. After all, it depicts the driving of large spikes with a heavy wooden mallet, not tapping in pins with a tack hammer. Even this performance came out faster than I'd like, maybe I'll try again next year at this time.
