In response to my latest uploads, YouTube subscriber "organgoesheavy" challenged me to capture the boom of a storm, stating that it wouldn't be easy...and well, of course I accepted that challenge! ;-)
The improvisation is designed to lack clear melodies and rhythm on purpose and tries to be "pretty random" with sudden changes of mood, tonality, intensity and style. So expect the tornado to impact around the two-minute mark!
SIR impulse response reverb with the "York Minster" profile was applied to all four divisions (P, I-III) individually during post-processing, i.e. before the four audio group stereo recordings were merged to a single 7.1ch surround file.
For those who own a 7.1 surround system, an 8-channel FLAC file can be picked up here to get an impression of what it will sound like in my living room:

- Player: Current versions of Media Player Classic are able to properly play multi-channel FLAC files.
