| Description: | Erik-Jan van der Hel (* 1967) is a contemporary organist, composer and music teacher, living and working in Ermelo (Netherlands). Also an impressive improviser, he occasionally writes masterful 18th century organ works, very worth to play (imslp.org/wiki/Category:Van_der_Hel,_Erik-Jan).
His newest manualiter chorale partita on the Easter song "Gelobt sei Gott im höchten Thron" was written in 2020: The chorale is followed by five variations, presenting the tune in soprano (2), mezzo-soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Score (20.5.2020):

For my rendition I used the marvellous OAM-sample of the Heilig-Geist-organ (II/26), Basilica of Ottobeuren (D), built by Karl Joseph Riepp in 1766. |
