Attila Jurth (b. 1945) — Postludio facile (1970) for organ
Attila Jurth (b. 1945) was born in Hungary and has lived in Australia since 1982. He was educated at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. After moving to Leningrad in 1963 to study engineering, he continued to perform and compose and won first prize in the City of Leningrad Music Competition. After further studies in translation/interpretation at the University of Vienna, while working in this field he became chief organist of the Hungarian Roman Catholic Diocese of Vienna for 1970–82. Since moving to Australia, Jurth has been active in many musical pursuits, including the composition of a great deal of educational music. He has also written many pieces for the LKGT Quartet, a string quartet comprised of his four children.
