Greetings, Contrebombarde. For many years I (Drew Worthen) have stalked these pages and am finally getting around to uploading my first recording. Hopefully many more will follow.
The instrument used is the 56 channel Hauptwerk organ at Greenwood United Methodist in Greenwood, IN, using the Paramount 341 sample set. This is my first time playing a "theater organ" (real or virtual) and it was great fun. The piano is being played by my fiancè, Sarah Sabatino.
"In His Hands" was written by Joel Raney and features 7 variations on the original tune.
He's got...
"The Tiny Little Baby..."
"All the Busy People..."
"The Thunder and the Lightening..."
"The Itty Bitty Creatures..."
"All My Joy...."
"All Our Sorrows...."
"The Whole Wide World...."
The piece was recorded during the initial COVID-19 outbreaks in the United States, making it very befitting for the times.
Please excuse my lack of theater organ training, particularly as it pertains to registrations. I still have a tendency to approach it from a 'classical' mindset.
The original 24-bit, 96kHz recording was done live, using a single pair of AT4022 microphones with no further effects or reverb added.
