Description: | Another work from the Music for the Service (Dutch: Muziek voor de Eredienst) by publisher Ars Nova in Goes, Netherlands. This work has 2 exceptional phrases where you can hear the whirlwind blow at Pentecost. The softer piece inbetween is performed with closed Swell.
Like the other uploaded work from Bernard Renooij, this composition is written in early-modern Dutch style, and therefore is played 'swinging' and mostly legato.
Many thanks to Gerben Budding, organist of the St. Johns Cathedral in Gouda, Netherlands for the introduction and guidance through this not-so-well-known genre! |
