Description: | Flor Peeters (1903 - 1986) was a Belgian organist, composer and teacher. To read more about him visit http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Lib/Peeters-Flor.htm.
I was inspired by a post on the Strassburg organ earlier in the week to load it up and play on it again. Here is a recording on a nice piece from Flor Peeters 8: Andantino in Lydian mode. It is from his book 'Thirty-Five Miniatures and Organ Pieces'. They are described in the foreword as 'short, improvisatory pieces written in various styles in all major and minor keys'. They can be played with or without pedals.
Here I play without pedals and since I couldn't follow Peeters' registration on this organ of Spitzgamba or Kwintdeen I used the Hauptwerk Prinzipal instead of the Spitzgamba against the Positiv Gedackt and Flote 4'. For the adding of Kwintdeen and 4ft flute required by Peeters I just switched to the Positiv.
This is separate to the other Peeters' pieces I have been recording as it is from a different book.
Hope you enjoy.
