Since it's Independence Day here in the United States, and since I didn't see another upload of this music today, I thought I might record the American National Anthem and have a bit of fun.
I put on my Pierre Cochereau organ shoes for this interpretation and had in my mind a recording of a very moving rendition of the Marseillaise by Cochereau at the funeral of Charles de Gaulle on November 12, 1970. It's on the typical Cochereau Tutti of that time- full organ including the Spanish-style Chamades and 32' Bombarde rolling down the nave. The multiple horizontal trumpets on the Laurenskerk organ are give a rather good reminiscence of how the organ of Notre-Dame sounded in the 70s. I've saved the FULL battery of Chamade reeds for the very last few chords at the end of the second verse.
