*** Tonstück – Opus 60 nr. 19, composed by Johann Georg Herzog (1822-1909).
The longest (and maybe finest) Fuge of Herzog's Opus 60 ... and also the most challenging!
To be honest: it took me some serious study to get it all right, not as easy (for me) as it looks.
In my edition it says "Volles Werk", but I decided to add some variation in the registrations to highlight the returning of the theme and build up some (more) tension towards the majestic ending.
Could have been a great conclusion of this Opus 60, but Herzog decided to finish otherwise ... ;-)
Enjoy the majestic sound of the magnificent Walcker-Eule set that I use for all 21 pieces of Opus 60.
