Description: | Johann Krieger (1651-1735) was a German baroque composer, who besides some wonderful chamber and vocal compositions, also has brought us the bundle 'Anmuthige Clavier-Übung' with compositions for organ and/or harpsichord. I picked the 5th and 6th movement (both in G major) and put them together, so you have a nice P&F altogether now ;)
These compositions are certainly no novelty at CBB. Edo (EdoL) and Erik (Hoofdwerk) have uploaded many of Kriegers pieces, check them out!
Oh, and for lovers of vocal baroque music, listen to this beautiful vocal piece by Krieger:

In my opinion it's always good to listen to vocal music by a composer (if he has written any), before playing some instrumental music of him. It gives an idea of how the composer wants the music to breathe. Just my thoughts... |
