This book contains 8 "Suites", each in a different tone. Each suite is made up of 9 short verses alternated with the plain chant of the Magnificat.

Note :
The music of Jean-Baptiste Nôtre seems simplistic but it is not. Indeed each verse of each of the 8 suites is a jewel that must be taken out of its box.
We must analyze this music in depth to find its beauty and interest.
You also need a (French) organ from the end of the 18th century with all its characteristic stops. For Hauptwerk, there are few (or none) that present them all. My lack of sufficient material also forces me to control Hauptwerk by midi for my recordings.
The result is not at all satisfactory but still allows to give a idea. I like this music full of emotions that's why I present it to you.
