Description: | Perhpas one of Franck's most beloved organ works, the Prelude, Fugue and Variation Op. 18 actually began as a duet for harmonium and piano. Franck dedicated the work to his pupils, "The Misses Louise and Genevieve Deslignieres" - later he reworked this as the organ solo which is so well known, and it later found its way back as a piano solo.
Curiously, I have never played this as an organ solo, rather on several occasions as a duet between pianist and organist.
Here, I use the reed organ sampleset of the Estey Style T instrument, produced by organexpressions.com

The piano is generated by Modartt Pianoteq. |
