Melvin Clive Bird (b. 1955) — An Opening Morning Toccata (2015) for organ

Melvin Clive Bird (b. 1955) was born of mixed German and English parentage in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. He was educated at Dartington College and the University of Reading. From 1990–2005 he worked for the music library of the Department of Music at Reading University. In 2005, Bird moved to Madeira, Portugal where in 2006 he became a piano teacher and accompanist at the Conservatorio Escola das Artes in Funchal.
