The Irish Air, upon which Stanford founded this intermezzo, is of course the Londonderry Air, also known as "Danny Boy" - composed later in his life, this rendition has a wistful and reflective character - likely reminiscining on his youth and early life growing up in Ireland. As an ex-pat myself, I can empathize!
The point was made (@JamesFlores) that I could take St. Anne's to Groningen - in a prior video, I illustrated the use of a multi-channel reverb configuration within Hauptwerk to very effectively re-home an instrument. (Scotts Church in that case)
In this case
- I have truncated the St. Anne's release samples to 250ms
- I have used two of Haupwterk's perspectives to create front/rear
- I then divided swell, great, pedal up
- That gave 6 opportunities to apply 6 of Jiri Zurek's (Sonus Paradisi) IR files recorded at various spots in the Marinikerk in Groningen
