“Harmonies du Soir” (2014) [Harmonies of the Evening] was one of the pieces written for the composer’s debut recording, “Bokeh”: a concept album of modal post-minimalist organ music.

Michał G. Dzitko (b. 1995) was born in Poland and moved to England at age 13. He earned a degree in economics and music from the University of Chicago (USA) where his teachers included Augusta Read Thomas and Marta Ptaszyńska. In additional to music for traditional ensembles in various styles, his compositions include various unusual projects including a multimedia opera installation called “Soundscapes of Color,” a second opera about the life of Hunter S. Thompson, and all of Chopin’s piano etudes re-imagined as hip-hop tracks.
