Description: | My friend Willem, Philosopher and Theologian on a question about saints said: "Just look around you, you'll see them...".
And indeed, there are saints working in overcrowded hospitals, shelters and refugee camps, doctors, nurses, volunteers, often for no or minimum wages.
We're not all saints, I can name a few who definitely are not, me for instance, but there is something to aim for.
The hymn is set to the tune Dundee by Thomas Ravencroft,
It is believed he sang in the choir of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and probably received his bachelor’s degree in 1605 from Cambridge. Ravenscroft is principally known for his collections of folk music.
There is one full verse introduction.
The text of the hymn is in the first comment.
Last verse harmonization by Noel Rawsthorne.
I see David beat me to the first All Saints upload. Proficiat, O master! |
