This piece is a love song written by Alan Murray and Edward Lockton in 1939 and went on to become a popular hit during the years of WWII, being recorded by some of the stars of the time, including Vera Lynn, Richard Tauber and Webster Booth. In 1943, a film was made with the same name and featured the song throughout.
I thought it appropriate to record it as we approach remembrance day here in the UK and Commonwealth countries.
