The 'Altbachisches Archiv', Johann Sebastian Bach's collection of his family's music, proofs his appreciation of the works of his first father-in-law Johann Michael Bach (1648-1694), who has been an organist and town clerk in Gehren (Thuringia, Germany).
This well known chorale prelude presents melody and counterpoint voice first in the basic key, then, almost identical, in the fifth position. Each section is underlaid by an soft organ point. Broken chords and echoes may recall us on little bells; so I animated the second part with the organ's wonderful 'Zimbelstern'.
