One of my favourite carols, despite being a typically romantic Victoriana piece adding snow to everything.
Words by Edward Caswall and tune by Sir John Goss.
This is a rather delightful organ set and well suited for hymns although it would have been nice to have a solo reed at times, the gemshorn and principal make a wonderful solo stop. The sounds of the clicking pipes and keys make for a kind of nice xylophone type effect in pieces.
