These days we spoke about this hymn tune by Ira David Sankey (1840-1908), which is used in our hymn book (arrangement by Werner Paulus) together with the text of Arno Pötzsch (1900-1956) – original words and translation see first comment.
Now we need some help: Could someone please tell me the original text and/or the tune name by which we may search for a hymn prelude for use in the divine service? Thank you very much in advance, and Happy New Year!
