Prelude

From his book 'La Lyre Sacree'

Louis Raffy (1868 — March 1931)

He was organist at the St. Nicolas church Nérac, which is in the South West of France. He was born near here. The organ doesn't appear to be very big, 23 ranks/stops from what I can work out from the French. It was built by Jules Magen Barthélémy, a student of Cavaille-Coll in 1852 and modified and completed in 1862. It was restored in 1983 by the organ builder Alain Leclere.

If you visit this page you can see a picture of the organ and the church, which looks very beautiful. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Église_Saint-Nicolas_de_Nérac

This claims to be a piece by J S Bach but I know nothing about which piece and if it is just Raffy arranging it or just using the theme. Sorry.

Hope you enjoy.
