I wanted to try playing accompaniments back and forth with the melody taking advantage of the huge Inchindown oil tank reverb. I think it turned out pretty cool.
I chose this organ because I wanted to see if I could bring exciting life to the rather small instrument, and I think if an organ ever was actually played inside the oil tanks it would have to be small anyways. I was quite surprised by the versatility of it. However I did cheat a bit and add a pedal manual by coupling down the main manual.
(Don't ask what happened to improv #3...)
I played this piece with an impulse response made by acs272 here: https://freesound.org/people/acs272/packs/13598/
of one the Inchindown oil tanks, so it sounds as if it was recorded on site.
