Wär Gott nicht mit uns diese Zeit Uploaded by: Carillon Composer: Hanff, Johann Nicolaus Organ: Kampen, Bovenkerk Hinsz/F.C. Schnitger Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 174
Three days ago forum member Adri uploaded a performance of this piece, played on the same sample set: https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/44237
In the comments ari, yolar and me discussed the difference between the version he played, and the Breitkopf edition of the same work that is available on imslp. The version Adri played is based on the Frankenberg manuscript, written by Johann Gottfried Walther. As far as I could find, that version is not yet available in the public domain, so all the more reason for me to transcribe it.
Intruiging in Walther's version is the spot where he writes a bar of 6 quarter notes instead of 4. If this signifies an error on Walther's part is then perhaps a bit of the original music missing?
