As my first upload to Contrebombarde I chose a piece by my late organ teacher Hans-Martin Kemmether (1943 - 2019): The piece is called "In memoriam Sergiu Celibidache". He wrote this piece 1998/1999 to commemorate the death of his teacher Sergiu Celibidache (1912 - 1996).
The piece consists of three movements: Andante - Ricercare - Ad Paradisum, which are connected by a theme, based on the name Celibidache:
It is translated into: C-E-B-D-AC-HE. This is the main theme of the Andante; It forms the basis for the Ricercare where it appears in the bass. In the last part "In Paradisum" a second theme is added: the antiphon 'In Paradisum'.
What you like about my performance is due to him; for the rest keep me responsible. I am looking forward to your feedback.
