These phantasiae come from a manuscript with the signature “Ms. 300 R/Vv. 123” at the Gdańsk State Archive in Gdańsk (German: Danzig), Poland, containing a varying collection of documents dating to a time period between 1571 and 1627. Although not identified in the manuscript, these keyboard pieces are widely attributed to Cajus Schmiedtlein, organist of St. Mary's in Danzig. I recorded 7 out of 17 phantasia's.
I used the demo set of Smecno, which contains the complete Renaissance organ (1587) after the reconstruction. These phantasiae are perfect for the Smecno organ.
Thanks for pointing me to this organ, Johan & Adri!
