The same manuscript thatwas the source for Zachow's prelude to "Was mein Gott will, das gescheh allzeit", features a composition by Zachow's pupil Kirchhoff on the same melody. It is nice to compare both compositions. Where Zachow's composition is firmly rooted in the Baroque tradition, Kirchhoff is in his composition already on the way to classicism.
I played Kirchhoff's composition with the same registration I used for Zachow's composition.
