I'm pleased to be able to use this Aeolian-Skinner organ as the piece is dedicated to - My dear friend Ernest M. Skinner.

This must rate as one of the most beautiful and moving compositions of Karg-Elert and once you get past Nun Danket he wrote much lyrical and expressive music. This is a continuous dialogue both within phrases and from phrase to phrase and manual to manual.
There are many manual changes which I colour coded on the score with marker as a visual way to keep track of them.
The score indicates to repeat each section with slightly different registration.
This is the second movement from the Partita. The whole work does not seem to be played much in recitals from what I have seen but this movement surely would be popular.
The four movements composed 1931-2 are;
1. Phantasie
2. Dialogo
3. Minuetto malinconico
4. Finale alla Solfeggio
Sigfrid Karg-Elert (November 21, 1877 – April 9, 1933).
